Immersive Paper Culture Project Installation Inaugurated in CONGO, Fostering Global Cultural Exchange

Kinshasa, Congo – [December 25, 2025] – A groundbreaking cultural initiative, the "Culture Paper Project," culminated today with the grand unveiling of a stunning, large-scale paper art installation at Kinshasa. This transformative project, a collaboration between international artists and local Kenyan communities, reimagines paper as a powerful medium for storytelling, environmental consciousness, and cross-cultural connection.

From Fiber to Form: A Community-Based Main Process The centerpiece installation is crafted entirely from sustainably sourced, hand-processed paper pulp and recycled materials. Its organic, sprawling forms draw inspiration from both contemporary sculptural techniques and timeless motifs found in East African artistry, such as the intricate patterns of traditional basket weaving or the elegant shapes of calabash vessels.

The true essence of the project lies in its participatory process. Over the preceding weeks, lead artists conducted a series of intensive workshops with local artists, students, and community members. Participants engaged in every stage, from paper-making and natural dyeing to shaping and assembling the final work. These workshops served as dynamic forums for exchanging skills, narratives, and perspectives.
